Our History
In 1957, David Hecht envisioned an interactive kitchen remodel experience that began not in a local carpentry shop but in a showroom. There, an insightful sales team with in-depth product and design knowledge would educate customers so they could select the best products for their homes. David selected Wood-Mode cabinetry, fine Pennsylvanian cabinets with hand-rubbed custom finishes, to bring to his clients’ homes. Next, he incorporated true built-in appliances and custom countertops featuring inlaid stainless steel sinks. These quality custom features positioned David Hecht Kitchens decades ahead of its time. Come visit our state-of-the-art showroom in Waterford, CT, and leave as excited about your project as we are. [/et_pb_testimonial][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]
Our History
David Hecht Custom Kitchens and Baths was founded in 1957 by entrepreneur David Hecht
with one goal: to transform the kitchen remodeling experience. He built an interactive showroom
where homeowners could walk in, touch real cabinetry, and choose the finest materials for their
custom spaces.
David also introduced built-in appliances and custom laminate countertops with inlaid stainless
steel sinks, innovations that established David Hecht Custom Kitchens and Baths as an industry
leader in design and innovation.
Now in its third generation of family ownership, David Hecht Custom Kitchens and Baths still
runs on the same commitment to exceptional design and customer experience that David built
the business on. We pair six decades of design expertise with the latest in materials and
technology, then partner and coordinate with a network of trusted independent contractors to
bring every project to life.
Above all, we offer the kind of customer service that only a family-owned business can.
