The Transformation
Tom and Susan’s kitchen felt closed off from the living and dining rooms, and they wanted to make everything feel more cohesive. We removed a couple of dividing walls and wrapped the structural posts in matching cherry and trim to the kitchen to bring everything together. These posts bookend the expansive island, and the layout provides plenty of storage and workspace. We also recessed a cabinet full of rollout shelving behind their existing glass pantry door and installed LED lighting inside the closet to illuminate the space.
