We are writing to express our appreciation for the service that you have provided. It has been twenty years since we contracted with you to remodel our kitchen. We were well pleased with your design suggestions and with the project itself. Unfortunately it was done at a time when the manufacturer of the adhesive used for the Formica countertops had a major quality problem. It was not long before a section came loose. You were most courteous and prompt in its repair. Over the years the problem recurred in different areas at different times and was repaired. Some three years ago, your people repaired several areas but one that showed signs of failure but was not accessible-the last not repaired-remained. Early this year it lifted along its edges and was now accessible. It was quite small-less than three square feet and I suggested that, with some instruction, I could do the job myself. However your people offered and arranged to do the repair. It was done yesterday almost exactly 20 years from signing the contract.
To have taken responsibility for correcting a problem which was not your fault to begin with for several home visits over 20 years speaks highly of your performance. Please be assured that were we to have any occasion to make recommendations for work in your line of business, you would get a strong endorsement.
